design session, to
start your project
off right. You bring
your dreams. We
bring our

make sure you
understand the
design ideas by
doing the design for
you using 3D
computer software.
By doing the design
with you, we make
sure it's a design
you love, and not
because a design
consultant said you
should.

 Why Is This A
Good Idea?

intimidated by the
cost or process of
traditional
architecture. the
Design Studio is
designed to remove
as many of those
barriers as
possible. Our entire
process is designed
to put you at ease
and in control. It's
only the first step
in the process
designed around
owner Empowerment.
What Do You Get?
For all but the
Small, you get a PDF
file with a variety
of images -
including plans,
sketches, and many
types of interior
and exterior views
of the computer
model.
For the Medium,
Large and Custom
Design Studios we
prepare a set of
drawings on 11'x17"
paper (so you can
make copies
locally), to augment
the color images in
the PDF. The 11x17
drawings include
plans, elevations
and 3D line
drawings, with notes
that describe the
design. Where the
PDF is a record of
the whole process,
the 11x17 documents
the decisions you
made. This set is
intended to help a
builder give you
preliminary cost
feedback, to help a
lender determine how
much loan you
qualify for, or just
for you to
understand the
design.
The quality of the
images from your
first session will
be similar to the
Tenant Improvement
pictures above.
Almost all the
images in this web
site are computer
generated! The ones
that are "photo
realistic" are
produced when the
design is fairly
well developed. For
the smaller projects
that will be after
the first Design
Studio. For larger
projects, it takes a
little longer to
develop the design
to that point.
Additional Items
With your paid
Design Studio, you
are granted a
copyright license to
use the Design
Studio design for
your home, business
or property, but we
reserve all rights,
including the
copyright. That
means you can choose
to have another
Designer or
Architect complete
the Permit and
Construction
drawings for your
project if you
choose, but you
can't build more
than one project
from this design.
Design Studio is
essentially
sketching by
computer. The Design
Studio drawings are
intended for design,
and not for filing
with the Building
department,
competitive bidding
to Builders, or for
constructing the
project. We are
happy to prepare
those drawings for
you and will discuss
your needs either
when we schedule
your Design Studio
or afterwards, at
your discretion.

our work clearly, we
can usually give you
a fixed fee to
complete the Design
and the Construction
drawings. You get
the peace of mind of
knowing what your
financial commitment
is. The drawings we
produce for you will
be tailored to your
needs, with options
that we will discuss
thoroughly with you.
Remember we want YOU
to be in control
4. Finding a
Builder
We sometimes have
builders we can
recommend. If not,
we can guide you
through
interviewing,
selecting, and
hiring a quality
Builder.
5. Construction
We are available to
provide as much or
as little assistance
during construction
as you need or want.
Whether you simply
want us to be
available to answer
questions from your
quality Builder, or
you have problems
during construction
and need an ally,
we'll bethere for
you.
